Enjoy a 2 days trek around Berber villages in the High Atlas Mountains from Marrakech. You will explore the area and its beautiful Berber villages, and meet local people.

Marrakech to the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco on a trek through the Azzaden valley, seeing some of Morocco’s most beautiful nature. Admire breathtaking panoramic views and experience the local culture first-hand as you pass by tiny hamlets and villages of the ethnic Berber, a herding and farming community.

Itinerary Details:

• Day 1: Marrakech – ImiOughlad – TiziOussem

After breakfast we transfer by minibus or 4×4 to ImiOughlad, a journey that Takes us from the plains around Marrakech into the heart of the High Atlasrange, After meeting our mules and muleteers team, we start a 5 hour Walk, trek up to the Tacht Pass (2000m) and then descending Into the Azaden Valley, having lunch in ImiNifri, after lunch we continue the walk to TiziOussem a very traditional village, overnight in nice panoramic Berber guest house and good views of the Azzaden, Approx 5hrs walk

• Day 2: TiziOussem – Imlil – Marrakech

After Breakfast, you continue your trek passing junipers forests on the way up to the TiziMzik (2269m); stop for our picnic lunch nearby The AzibBerdoun, and then descend towards Imlil (The small Chamonix town in the Mizane Valley, Imlil is also a major walkers’ base at 1750m. Treks for Toubkal often start here, in the centre of the village.
